Spread a little sunshine...

We returned to Las Vegas over the weekend after spending nearly 5 months in the Adirondacks. We stayed as long as the weather stayed nice.

·      We split our time

·      Between Vegas and the Adirondacks,

·      Avoiding summer’s heat and winter’s cold.

·      So many people like us split their time like this

·      In search of where the weather is nicer year-round.

It’s not a perfect science: we never know when the temperatures will begin to get hot in Vegas or the snow will begin to fall in the mountains. Our weather comfort depends on when we begin and end this journey each year. And each year when we start, we’re always amazed at how much the difference is between the two places: maximum noise and people and lights here in Vegas and it’s 16 miles to the first red light in the mountains. And there are good friends and lots to do in both places. But the real issue for us is the tumult and hassle of the travel: busy airports, crowded planes, disrupted schedules, and unhappy people make it a very unpleasant experience: even the Southwest Airline employees are grumpy these days. Everyone still blames the frowns and disruptions on Covid – enough already. Whether all of this angst and unhappiness is because of masking, or a lack of employees, companies and people need to find ways to again be civil and nice. Whatever you’re doing, put on your smile and help make the world a better place today.
