Create a great company culture...

It pays to create a supportive and nurturing culture at work. In fact it will pay for itself many times over.

·      People thrive

·      In a workplace

·      That supports them

·      An environment like that

·      Motivates creativity and passion.

People talk about the importance of a positive workplace culture, but there aren’t any studies of the impact – positive or negative, that has on a company’s bottom line. There are lots of anecdotal stories that support this theory, but maybe it’s time to prove it. If you boil it down, the basis of a positive culture starts with psychological safety - the belief that one will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns, or mistakes. Once secure in that safe environment, people feel free to look for ways to improve themselves, their working conditions, and the processes they work with. Leaders need to show employees that they care and that they’re interested in what they have to say, and they should express their appreciation in visible and tangible ways. A little of that kind of positive reinforcement goes a long way.  And as employees get more comfortable and engaged, create channels where they can tell their stories. The ROI of a safe culture will be higher morale and satisfaction, and increased productivity and retention.  Create a culture where ideas can connect today.
