Companies, like families and armies, work best when they have they share a loyalty to each other.
loy·al·ty
/ˈloi(ə)ltē/
Noun:
a strong feeling of support or allegiance.
That strong feeling of support or allegiance is priceless and should never be taken for granted. It begins and ends with showing that you care. Caring means being interested, listening, showing appreciation, helping when needed, understanding, always being available, for anything, anytime. It’s a two-way street – you can’t expect people to be loyal to you if you’re not loyal to them. As you build your team, be mindful of the needs of the individuals and the needs of the team – be a role model for that. Do this and your team will trust you. Without trust there can be no loyalty. And without loyalty there will be no team. It’s all about loyalty to each other. Support that today.
Mario Puzo (1920 – 1999): American author, screenwriter, and journalist, best known for his book The Godfather.
