Do your homework...

Getting from here to anywhere can be a challenge. Your job is to find the motivation to make that journey.

·      How do you know

·      If the path you’re on

·      Is the right path for you?

·      Sometimes you’re not sure

·      But you take that path anyway.

Every day someone makes a new friend, takes a new job, or starts any other kind of new thing, knowing that starting new can be a leap of faith. You can improve the chance of success by learning all you can, seeking input from others, and not acting impetuously. We can never be 100% certain of anything, but by being open, flexible, and aware, that leap can become less uncertain as time goes by. Don’t expect new choices to be perfect and try to stay focused and adjust as needed. I’ve often written here that when I left the manufacturing industry and went to work in gaming, it was a leap of faith. I knew Steve Wynn but not much else about the business or how things worked; I researched as much as possible but was still pretty much in the dark when I started. I found a few mentors, asked a lot of questions, kept an open mind, and learned as time went by: that leap of faith turned into a smart move. Do your homework and find mentors when you start anything new today.
