Las Vegas became the center of the culinary
universe when celebrity chefs started partnering in restaurants here: that’s
when applicants really started seeing opportunities in kitchen careers. While it
would be hard to select the best among all the great chefs who’ve taken up
residence here, I can clearly remember the excitement among applicants, the
hope of students at the Culinary Training Center, and the thrill on the faces
of employees starting their first days in the presence of those master chefs. Employees
beginning their promising culinary careers learned to stand and walk and run
and climb and dance before they got to fly: they knew that it would take
passion and hard work to reach their goals. The learners became protégés and
today they have taken their places at the head of their own cooking lines. The
best in any category at work or in life are those who have the will and the
want to make it to the top. Keep your
eye on them today.
