We
went to the movies last night and saw “The Post”: about the country's first
female newspaper publisher and a hard-driving editor who were involved in an
unprecedented battle between the press and the government. It was a story set
in the late 60s about the role of the press in a democracy: a role and topic as
timely as today’s headlines. And there was a scene where the publisher (played
by Meryl Streep) walks down the steps of the Supreme Court through a crowd of
young girls who were all looking up to her as a role model: they were proud of
her resolve and values. We all need role models to look up to: people who are
happy and proud of their beliefs and achievements. Make the most of yourself by
fanning your inner sparks of pride today.
