That’s a cool visual: grabbing someone by the lapel and… shaking them and telling them something.
· Being so passionate
· About something that
· You can’t wait to tell others.
· It makes you shake and holler.
· Feel that way about something today.
My wife’s a visual artist and often picks some unique stuff to photograph. She goes for long rides in the country around here finding stuff that’s a little bit different, putting together a large body of work about upstate New York. Rural, simple, pristine, and thought-provoking. Seeing the extraordinary in things that are mostly ordinary, things that grab you and won’t let go. We all see stuff like this and often pass it by – but in our own ways we process it, looking for the things that stick out. It could be something at work that you find interesting and want to expand upon: something you just can’t let go of, wanting to take it further. Life is filled with stuff like this; the challenge is to find the things that excite you and inspire you to do something, feel something, or say something. Don’t be so busy that you run the risk of missing these: they’re the things that make life interesting. Grab ahold of something like that today.
