We think we’ve seen most things. And then something completely new comes along that is totally surprising.
· Our steps
· Follow our paths.
· And the steps we take
· Define who and what we are.
· Unique and distinct unto only us.
Today we took a drive along rural state roads and ended up at Jim’s Bookshop in Lyons Falls, NY. Jim was sitting out front with his cat and welcomed us as we parked and got out of our car. Calling this a bookshop is an understatement: every square inch of this “house” was crammed from floor to ceiling with books of every size, shape, and variety. Same with the house next door and an old 40-foot trailer out back. Jim told us he’d been there for 49 years, taking over from his father who got started when he bought a lot of books for $100 and sold them for $600 two days later. From that point on they were hooked, and everything he’s done since has revolved around buying, selling, and trading books. That was the path he chose and has stayed on. We each find the path that fits and, if we’re true to ourselves, stay on it. It’s not always easy, and sometimes a change is necessary. But the key to a happy life is realizing which path we should be on. Find the path that’s right for you today.
