Take it to the next level...

This is a mind set: meaning you set your mind to doing something, like excellence, and you don’t let go.

·      Make excellence your mantra … your reason for living.

·      Stop and think about that with everything you do.

I’ve had the good fortune to work on some extraordinary projects. Mirage, Bellagio, Wynn, and the Resort at Pelican Hill. They were iconic examples of grandeur, a term defined as ‘something with splendor and impressiveness’. The owners of those resorts had great vision, the builders had an unbending commitment to excellence, the operators had great standards, the managers coached impeccable performance, the employees bought into the vision and the culture that brought it to life, the customers were wowed and in awe, and the competition was left scratching their heads. It’s not that the competition couldn’t have done it, they just didn’t have the disciplined mind set to get there – they were unable to quit doing less-than-excellent work. Like I said: it’s a mind set that our leaders inspired everyone to adopt. You’re going to get up and go to work today anyways and put in a full day of effort … so why not take it up a notch and commit to only doing excellent work today
