· Most things seem scary until you do them.
o You just need the courage to try.
o And then you know.
I've been scared to death these past three weeks not knowing what was to become of the fingers I recently injured. They were wrapped in a huge gauze bandage, leaving me to wonder what was going on in there. Today I went to a hand specialist who took the bandages off and said the best thing now is to expose the two injured fingers to fresh air and sunshine. And to let me see them so I could start to get my head around where I am, where I'm going, and how best to get there. So many things in life are scary in our minds, yet when we look at them rationally, the fear turns to hope. My consulting partner often says that ‘the facts are friendly’: no matter what we're faced with, it's best to objectively view where we are to best be able to plan our next moves. Whether it's an injury like mine or any other challenge we’re faced with, get the facts, understand them, and deal with them effectively. If you’re anxious or scared, get back in the saddle today.
