We often start simple things and are unaware of what they might become. Treat everything you do like it’s going to turn out to be great.
· Focus on doing the small stuff well
· And the big stuff will follow suit.
The first big thing I ever did was The Mirage. We had dreams but no real certainty of what it might become. We believed but didn’t know. So, we planned everything as if it mattered. And treated everything as if it was important. Not everything people do has renderings and models, but we can dissect every part of every project and know all we need to do it well. Not everything people do has a big price tag, but we can treat everything as if were priceless. It’s a mindset. You must be an evangelist for great work – inspiring people to do their best. Never get caught up in trying to be perfect – that’s usually unattainable. But doing your best at everything you do is a goal everyone can set. Thank people for everything they do – catch them doing things right and coach them to be better when they’re not. Where it all ends is often hard to fathom, but when you get there, you’ll know. Stay tuned to how and where things are going today.
