As much as we try not to, we often get stuck in the weeds. Where it’s hard to see the forest for the trees.
· Perspectives
· Are seen from
· Wherever we are.
· Best to move around
· To get as many as possible.
To gain insight enough to do great work, one must look at the work from as many perspectives as possible. Up close, the details of what needs to be done are clear; but that same perspective often does not let you see the big picture. Both are needed. Yet too often we stick to one and that hampers our ability to develop the best solutions. Don’t get stuck dealing with the minutia – even if that’s more momentarily gratifying; you need to see how all those details fit together and impact the things around them. We can find so much information on the internet and taking the time to step back and study it all will help you fill in all the things that make up the big picture. Use your time and resources wisely as you decide how to get things done today.
Gilbert Keith “G.K.” Chesterton (1874 – 1936): English writer, philosopher, Christian apologist, a literary and art critic. He has been referred to as the "prince of paradox”.
