Recognize the superstars...

There are people in our lives who truly walk the talk. And we know who they are.

·      Plain talkers,

·      Straight shooters,

·      And people you can

·      Trust and rely on always.

This is another way of describing integrity: people who not only say and believe in the right things, they also are the role models for doing the right things. They’re in all facets of your organization – line employees, supervisors and managers, and senior executives; they stand out in a crowd. These line employees are the high potentials you want to keep your eye on – celebrate their career paths so everyone sees the rewards for hard work and being effective. The supervisors and managers in this group need special care – don’t let them feel caught between a rock and a hard place; spend extra time coaching and recognizing them. And the senior executives who understand the importance of spending quality time out of their offices are to be nurtured and praised – they’re your real leaders. Walking the talk can be a buzz word that ends up looking like a caricature of leadership or the backbone of your workplace culture. Identify the employees throughout your company who walk the talk and organize them into being mentors for others. Show that you recognize and appreciate them. Walk that kind of talk today.
