Follow your instincts....

I love giving speeches and telling stories - people often ask me how I know which ones to use when giving a speech: it’s as though my sub-conscious intuitively knows where to go, what to say when, and what comes next. Some people seem to intuitively know without having to stop and think all the time: celebrity chefs whose fingers know how much salt to pinch and release, trend-setting hair stylists whose hands and tools work seamlessly as one, musicians who sense where the notes are, and so many other talented professionals whose work is guided by their instincts. The key to being able to do this: get in a good place (knowledge and skills-wise), practice until you can do it with your eyes closed (or open), build confidence by perfecting your competence, trust your instincts, let intuition tell you where or what’s next, and don’t be afraid to follow your intuition. That’s how prepared professionals create great new stuff every day.
