Be an engaged leader....

G
ood leadership leaves great impressions, and the best way to make them is to walk around and be engaged with employees and customers. Steve Wynn was always hanging out with customers and employees, asking for their thoughts and listening to their answers: that leadership style rubbed off on and encouraged us to spend much of our time out of our offices too. It helped me to know what employees thought about and wanted and gave me the confidence to believe in the programs I designed and implemented - like catching employees doing things right rather than only disciplining them when they did things wrong and the importance of explaining “why” when giving directions Don’t be afraid to delve deeply into the things you’re responsible for: that’s how you’ll know if they will work and be accepted. And it’s the best way to leave a good impression today.
