And it’s how you recover when things go awry: stay calm, ask thoughtful and probing questions, listen carefully, make and communicate clear decisions, and reassign new tasks appropriately. Most of the time our work with others is more chaotic than planned: a leader’s job is to be focused and clear so that others can act precisely and effectively.
